BGC Flourishing with Murals

Art spells the difference between the simple and the sublime.  Paintings or sculptures not only add beauty in a home or a place, but also tells much about a person or a city.

At Bonifacio Global City, you don’t just get amazed by the tall buildings, architecture and the likes but also by the murals on them.

We share the first three that caught my eye… On W Fifth Building, artist Andrew Shoultz gave us The Heart of God’s Country. At the BGC Corporate Center, Francisco Diaz rendered Calamansi and Sampaguita. And at Bonifacio High Street Lane P there is the Pilandok by Egg Fiasco.

BGC truly is the place to be. Wouldn’t you want to be here, too? Consult the BGC Expert at https://bgcconsultancy for a condominium investment.

The Fort Strip

Bonifacio Global City is fast becoming the new commercial and business district in Metro Manila.

There are many restaurants to fill even the most finicky palates.  You can start your food trip by visiting The Fort Strip located at 5th Avenue corner 26th Street. There’s American, Moroccan, French cuisines to name a few and a couple of places to satisfy your sweet tooth.

BGC Bike and Biker-friendly City

I believe it follows that people adapt to their well-provided for environment. What do I mean?

Specifically here at Bonifacio Global City, bicycles have designated parking and there are lanes for cyclists.  Personally, I have seen groups of cyclists meet up during weekends.
Perhaps in the nearer future BGC could land in the list of bike-friendly cities in the world. From research, European cities from the BeNeLux rank in the Top 10.

Pet-friendly City BGC

Walking around BGC, I notice that more and more residents and visitors alike take their pets around the new premier hub in Metro Manila.  Although I see more dogs than cats, I wonder when pet turtles or rabbits will be walked by their humans…. haha.

Kidding aside, I appreciate the discipline that caring for pets instill, like picking up after the dog and throwing in the right bin.  And BGC has appropriated the  bins and areas for our furry/hairy pets.

Plus, you can dine with pets now! Know the best restaurants to take your dog to by clicking this link.

Fountain Magic -- PSE Tower

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) Tower located on One Bonifacio High Street (5th Avenue corner 28th street) broke ground in 2012 and opened in the first quarter of 2018.

The all-glass skyscraper has 30 floors it is envisioned to have a museum and retail areas.

I always liked fountains — especially in buildings, in parks, homes and the like.

I bask in the energy it gives. For good feng shui, fountains have specific placements to ensure auspiciousness, luck and even protection.

A City Fit For Seniors

In the Philippines, the role of senior citizens to nation building is greatly recognized hence they have been given benefits and special privileges since 2003.

I see a lot of senior couples, some of whom are still active professionals in BGC.; perhaps they are consultants to the many multinational companies.

BGC is perfect for empty nesters – couples whose children have families of their own. I believe that condo living is a good alternative lifestyle for seniors. The independence is there and all their needs are within reach.

Certified PLATINUM!

Little things go a long way when it comes to caring for the environment. It is a personal commitment to reuse, recycle and reduce. I find it really remarkable when developers commit to the environment by practicing and wholly adopting the Green building concept.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), is a world-renowned green building certification method that sets the barometer for renewable energy and future sustainability in development.

But what does it really mean to be green?
It has mostly to do with efficient use of water, electricity and sustainable source of power and equipment, garbage management and resources and materials used in the development.

In Bonifacio Global City, three buildings have maintained the Platinum status (the highest, the rest being Gold, Silver, and Certification levels). They are:

  1. Sun Life Center Head Office
5Th Ave., BGCOne of the first structures in the Philippines to achieve and maintain its Platinum status is Sun Life Center since 2013.

No Fuss Fashion

Outfits need not be expensive and complicated.  I always believed in looking presentable and definitely not loud.  Since their opening in 2012, UNIQLO has provided me with fashionable clothes.  This Japanese brand is truly hassle-free clothing line for me.

There are three UNIQLO branches at BGC.  Find them at: 7th Avenue, UPTown  Mall and at SM Aura.
